In a vote on Wednesday (December 4), the coalition government overturned the opposition's motion to set up an extraordinary committee to study impacts of the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO)'s orders issued under Section 44 of the interim charter.

Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha has invoked total power under the interim charter’s Section 44 to turn over to the state a 30-rai (4.8 hectares) plot in the Klong Chiangrak Yai area of Pathum Thani’s Klong Luang district.
